Parents Leadership Council

Brandeis Parents Leadership Council (PLC) members’ involvement in the University has an enormous and lasting impact. Through their leadership and decision to make Brandeis a philanthropic priority, PLC members enable Brandeis to remain a top-tier university and maintain its commitment to academic rigor and access to higher education for all.

Opportunities for supporting Brandeis as a PLC member vary, and include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as Brandeis ambassadors for prospective and admitted students in their home communities at college fairs and other events, helping to build strong connections between current Brandeis families and new Brandeis families.
  • Facilitating professional connections through the Hiatt Career Center.
  • Attending the Annual PLC Breakfast event with the University President and other PLC members held during Family Weekend, and lending their counsel and support to help the University maintain its academic excellence.
  • Staying apprised of Brandeis news through periodic e-updates from the council co-chairs, and responding to invitations to volunteer.
  • Receiving special invitations to events on the Brandeis campus as well as those in their own region and around the world.
  • Inspiring other Brandeis parents to join the council and get involved with Brandeis.

Membership in PLC is available with a minimum annual gift of $5,000 to an area within the University that is most meaningful. The council’s support and volunteer work enables our students to enjoy an exceptional college experience, which provides them with the tools to make a positive impact in the world after they leave Brandeis.
